Kendra Spreutels was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. She trained as a trainee with NWA Conservatory of Classical Ballet from the fall of 2012 to the spring of 2017. As a trainee she had the opportunity to perform many different roles including Clara, Snow, Waltz of the Flowers, lead Spanish, and lead Angel in The Nutcracker. During her time at The Conservatory, Spreutels was able to take part in the Vocational Royal Academy of Dance Exams under the instruction of Mariah Bordovsky ARAD RTS. She has completed and passed both the Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, and Advanced One Exams with Merit. In the fall of 2020, Spreutels graduated from Belhaven University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies covering Dance and Sports Medicine Exercise Science. While attending Belhaven, she had the privilege of performing in both classical and contemporary pieces. She also had the opportunity to perform original choreography for Belhaven’s Emerging Choreographer’s Concert. In addition, Spreutels has spent her summers training at intensives including American Ballet Theatre, IU Jacobs School of Music, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. As a professional, she spent three seasons dancing and performing for NWA Ballet Theatre. She presented original choreography for Dance Chance two seasons in a row. This will be Kendra’s fourth season teaching at The Conservatory.
